NEW SOLUTIONS FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE
Our warehouse management software (WMS) acts as a central control unit between our ERP and Autostore system and ensures seamless and efficient process handling. As a result, the entire 10,000 m² warehouse area is optimally utilized and each storage location is precisely assigned.In addition to reducing walking distances for our staff, the software offers a particularly low error rate and helps to drastically minimize paper consumption by fully digitizing warehouse processes. In addition, the expansion of our infrastructure with modern PC systems, hand scanners, roller conveyors and a high-performance WLAN network ensures fast processing and stable network connections. By digitizing our warehouse processes, the software not only optimizes storage and picking, but also shipping - with shorter walking and driving distances, a stronger focus on sustainability and more efficient use of our capacities. This enables us to react quickly to increasing order volumes and use our warehouse space in an even more targeted and resource-efficient manner.
AUTOMATATION BY AUTOSTORE
In order to make optimum use of our available storage space, we have opted for AutoStore - an innovative system for automated storage and picking. Using a grid system, containers are picked up by high-speed robots, sorted and transported directly to the appropriate port for incoming or outgoing goods. AutoStore enables us to increase order accuracy and significantly reduce order processing and dispatch times. The compact system currently comprises 14,200 containers, which facilitate efficient storage and order picking. In addition, the infrastructure is already designed for expansion by a further 6,800 containers, which can be activated quickly if required.By integrating AutoStore, we have been able to reduce the space required for storage by around 75%, creating more room for additional goods.
In addition to fast availability, the system also impresses with its high energy efficiency. The high-speed robots use recuperation to feed energy back into the batteries. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and analytics, storage is not only efficient, but also error-free.
NEW BUILDING: LOGISTICS OF THE FUTURE
In order to meet the high demands of our partners in terms of availability and delivery times, we built a new building with an extended warehouse and additional offices in 2023. We have significantly increased our warehouse and office space on a plot of around 11,400 m². The new building houses a modern warehouse with a total of 10,500 pallet spaces on an area of 5,000 m².
In addition to numerous new offices, the new building also houses a modern showroom that represents our product range and company. There is also an innovative laboratory here, which is used for product and quality checks as part of our quality management system.
Sustainability is also a top priority in this building. The hall roof is equipped with a photovoltaic system to generate environmentally friendly energy. The new building itself was constructed with sustainability in mind and is a resource-saving, energy-efficient building. As part of the federal funding program for efficient buildings (BEG), the building meets the BEG EG 40 efficiency standard.
